Hakeem Jeffries is rolling out the welcome mat for the people who want his head mounted on their trophy wall.<\/p>\n

The House minority leader offered a hearty \u201cwelcome aboard\u201d to state Assembly members Claire Valdez and Micah Lasher as well as congressional candidates Darializa Avila Chevalier and Brad Lander, both progressive Democrats associated with the Democratic Socialists of America.<\/p>\n

All but Lasher were backed by slick DSA kingmaker Mayor Zohran Mamdani.<\/p>\n

\u201cCongratulations to our newest members of the NYC congressional delegation,\u201d he wrote on X. \u201cFrom public servants to union organizers to community activists, the path is different but the work is the same. We must decisively address the affordability crisis and crush far-right extremism!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018You\u2019re next\u2019<\/h2>\n

Never mind that Dems would classify immigration enforcement and\u00a0strong borders as \u201cfar-right extremism.\u201d<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s pretty tough to crush the right flank when you are literally being eaten by a pack of lefty loony socialists who don\u2019t believe in prisons or borders.<\/p>\n

Pols who think they are representing the people of Gaza, not New York City.<\/p>\n

If Jeffries can\u2019t see the insurgent party\u2019s plans for him, he\u2019s either blind or naive.<\/p>\n

But he can see it, and he\u2019s scared. After all, they\u2019ve already started salting and seasoning him, preparing him for a DSA roast.<\/p>\n

At the DSA victory party last week, supporters were taunting Jeffries. As his face came up on the television, the group of pasty-white downwardly mobile socialists chanted, \u201cYou\u2019re next.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was jarring.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, champagne socialist streamer Hasan Piker was taking aim at Rep. Ritchie Torres \u2014 who kept hold of his district \u2014 sounding like a coked-up \u201980s wrestler cutting a promo.<\/p>\n

Fealty to Palestinians<\/h2>\n

\u201cRitchie Torres I know you won tonight,\u201d he snarled. \u201cI\u2019ll see you in two years, mother\u00adf\u2013ker. I\u2019m coming for you, Richie. Sit on that f\u2013kin\u2019 seat for the next two years. I hope you remember that. Every day, every time there\u2019s a decision that you can make where you are pro-Israel, I hope you remember. You better act right, Ritchie.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is how the DSA views normie Dems \u2014 as problems to purge. And threaten. They want fealty to Palestinians. They want it loud and proud.<\/p>\n

Just ask Scott Wiener, who is running for Nancy Pelosi\u2019s congressional seat. He was harassed in public twice\u00a0by antisemitic lunatics, once inside a restaurant and then at a Pride march. In January, Wiener, under pressure, said that Israel was committing a genocide in Gaza.<\/p>\n

It still wasn\u2019t enough to spare him humiliation.<\/p>\n

Despite the messaging from Jeffries\u2019 soon-to-be colleagues, they don\u2019t want to advance an affordability agenda. They want to eat the rich and abolish ICE and therefore borders. Their first order of business isn\u2019t to bring down prices for working people but to get more of their comrades elected. It\u2019s a naked power grab.<\/p>\n

And the worst of them all is Avila Chevalier, who has spent her adult life in school. On X, she has literally bragged about wiping her greasy paws on an American flag. She doesn\u2019t believe in deportations or prison. In a deleted X account, she was praising Marx and Lenin.<\/p>\n

She co-founded Columbia University Apartheid Divest, which has called for the \u201ctotal eradication of Western civilization.\u201d<\/p>\n

And then there\u2019s Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, who went on \u201cMeet the Press\u201d to plug his new book. He tiptoed too.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want us to be a big tent party. I mean, I\u2019ve been saying this for years. I think that it\u2019s actually a sign of a party that is alive and growing when there\u2019s a contest of ideas inside the party,\u201d Murphy said.<\/p>\n

\u2018We are capitalist\u2019<\/h2>\n

Well, not if one of those competing ideologies wants to burn that tent to the ground.<\/p>\n

With so many liberals screaming that the Dems moved too far left on social issues and immigration, the answer is to line dance even further to the left and repackage socialism as affordability?<\/p>\n

How about we all commit to cutting taxes and not throwing more and more money at useless programs like Mamdani\u2019s pledging $15 million for trans youth and millions promised to legal services for illegal aliens?<\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n

But there are some Dems drawing a line in the sand.<\/p>\n

Last week, 13 Dem House members and candidates came together to pledge in \u201cThe Promise to America.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are capitalist, not socialist,\u201d they wrote.<\/p>\n

Yet, Jeffries is allowing himself to get pushed around. They\u2019ll be feasting on his carcass in no time.<\/p>\n
