Radio is intimate, it\u2019s just my voice going straight into your car or your headphones,\u201d Cohen added. \u201cYou can\u2019t fake it here; listeners can smell BS from a mile away. And believe me, after everything I\u2019ve been through, I know exactly what BS smells like, and I\u2019m here to call it out every single day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said he wants to focus on \u201caccountability\u201d and speak for the \u201cTired Majority\u201d who are \u201ccompletely exhausted by endless fighting\u00a0in DC that does absolutely nothing to help everyday Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m here to use my past and my insider knowledge to pull back the curtain and set the record straight for them,\u201d Cohen said.<\/p>\n<p>WABC owner John Catsimatidis, a major Trump supporter, said Cohen and the president have smoothed things over.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI checked with the White House and they had no objection,\u201d Catsimatidis said. \u201cI understand everything is fine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former Trump fixer wouldn\u2019t comment about any recent conversations with the president, saying he was \u201cfocused on the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was told the president \u00a0gave me a glowing recommendation for this gig because he believes I\u2019m going to be the next Rush Limbaugh,\u201d Cohen said.<\/p>\n<p>Cohen will get the Sunday radio host slot, replacing ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who is taking the summer off.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=3752\">Mexico fans play music, launch fireworks outside of England\u2019s hotel before World Cup clash<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Catsimatidis said Cohen wants a regular five-day show, and he\u2019ll \u201cprobably\u201d give it to him.<\/p>\n<p>Cohen admitted arranging pre-election hush-money payoffs to porn star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal, both of whom claimed to have had affairs with Trump, during Trump\u2019s successful 2016 White House bid.<\/p>\n<p>Trump denies the affairs.<\/p>\n<p>Cohen then became a star witness in two cases against his former boss.<\/p>\n<p>But Cohen now appears to be making nice with Trump.<\/p>\n<p>In January, Cohen accused both New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg of forcing him to testify against his former client, as part of their civil fraud and \u201chush money\u201d cases against the now-sitting president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI felt compelled and coerced to deliver what they were seeking,\u201d Cohen wrote in a Substack post. \u201cLetitia James and Alvin Bragg may not share the same office or political calendar, but they share the same playbook.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cohen mostly complimented Trump on the air Sunday when his new boss, Catsimatidis, interviewed him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t have to necessarily agree with every single thing that the president says or does \u2026 His goal is to actually do right by the country. You may not agree with his methodology, but it\u2019s his methodology,\u201d Cohen said on the \u201cCats Roundtable.\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe American people voted for him to be President of the United States. Every single president comes to the Oval Office with their own agenda. Donald Trump is entitled to his own agenda. If you didn\u2019t like it, if you didn\u2019t want it, then maybe you should\u2019ve gotten out and voted. But you didn\u2019t. Seventy-nine million people \u2026 voted for the man, and so allow him to fulfill his agenda.<\/p>\n<p>He said Trump is leveraging his executive power to push his agenda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat Donald Trump is doing is he\u2019s \u2026 using executive power in a way that is unique \u2026 He\u2019s willing to do something that no other politician has ever done before. He\u2019s using his power and he\u2019s pressing it to the line, stepping over the line, just to see each day how much further that he can advance his executive powers so that he can actually effectuate his agenda in the way that he believes is beneficial to the American people,\u201d Cohen said.<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cWhen I used to work for him, God knows how many hours every single day, I was known as one of the people who was willing to tell him maybe not what he wants to hear. He would accept that, and he would either use it or discard it. It\u2019s his prerogative. He\u2019s president of the United States.
