The vicious, broad-daylight murder of a Texas mother of five was far from a random act of violence, cops have revealed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Instead, the three young women accused of murdering Caroline \u201cCaro\u201d Pe\u00f1a \u2013 smiling sisters Kitty Mia Diaz, 21, and Amaya Cookie Diaz, 19, and their pal, Kyandra Renee Faz, 21 \u2013 knew the 32-year-old victim, Del Rio Police Chief Frank Ramirez told TMZ.\u00a0<\/p>\n

All three women were hit with first-degree murder charges after police say Cookie repeatedly stabbed Pe\u00f1a in the back during a heated confrontation in the small border city of Del Rio on Thursday afternoon.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The chief declined to specify the nature of the relationship between Pe\u00f1a and her accused killers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police have not offered an explanation for why the four young women \u2014 two of them mothers \u2014 were fighting.<\/p>\n

Faz told police that Pe\u00f1a had \u201carrived at her residence looking to start a fight,\u201d according to a criminal complaint obtained by The Post\u00a0<\/p>\n

Surveillance footage later obtained by investigators showed Pe\u00f1a\u2019s black Dodge pickup truck driving up to Faz\u2019s house, where Cookie and Kitty arrived shortly thereafter.<\/p>\n

The video shows Cookie fly out of the passenger seat of a black Chrysler 300 and confront Pe\u00f1a \u2014 while holding an object believed by cops to be a knife in her right hand, according to the complaint.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cookie is seen in the clip striking the mother in the back, where blood begins soaking her shirt, the document states.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when Kitty and Faz jumped in \u2014 allegedly beating Pe\u00f1a before running away, according to the court record.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Pe\u00f1a was reportedly driven to a local hospital by her nephew. She succumbed to the stab wounds at around 9 p.m. at a hospital in San Antonio.<\/p>\n

Ramirez stressed that Pe\u00f1a\u2019s decision to go to Faz\u2019s house doesn\u2019t suggest she bore any responsibility for the violence that followed, the outlet reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Just two hours after the brutal attack, Cookie and Kitty flashed twisted smiles as police hauled them off in handcuffs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Footage taken outside the siblings\u2019 home showed a barefoot Kitty \u2013 wearing tight black shorts and a halter top with an illustration of white hands cupping her breasts \u2013 grinning briefly at the ground as two officers escorted her into a patrol car around 4 p.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n

Her similarly scantily clad younger sister appeared to put on a show for the camera, brazenly flashing her pearly whites and giggling after sarcastically yelling at the man behind the camera, \u201cStop recording!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw the first girl going into the car, and I thought, \u2018Whatever\u2019\u2026 But the second one caught my eye,\u201d independent journalist Michael Elizondo, who filmed the arrests, later told The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThat girl was in a happy mood\u2026She was all smiling, goofing off like nothing happened,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ramirez blasted the sisters\u2019 demeanors as stunningly \u201ccallous.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cMy impression is it didn\u2019t look good, and you would think there would be a little more remorse in a situation like that \u2013 it looked callous,\u201d he told TMZ, referring to the chilling video of their arrests.<\/p>\n

The three accused attackers are behind bars after each were slapped with $5 million bonds by a judge during their first court appearance Friday, when they all requested court-appointed attorneys.\u00a0<\/p>\n
