The boyfriend was the one that made the phone call. He was trying to get her from the alligator\u2019s mouth, and on the way to the hospital she did pass away from her injuries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Weber said the investigation has found no signs that anyone acted maliciously toward the alligator in a way that would have provoked the beast. Tom Kean Jr. reveals reason behind mysterious absence as he returns to Congress after nearly 4 months<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Officials said the victim\u2019s boyfriend managed to hold onto her after the alligator finally released its grip.<\/p>\n<p>The woman\u2019s identity was not immediately released.<\/p>\n<p>Weber said two alligators \u2013 one 12-footer near the grisly scene and another 13-foot beast directly at the site of the incident \u2013 were captured in the aftermath, with DNA samples sent to a lab to determine if either was responsible for the fatal attack.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses described the alligator as \u201cvery large\u201d \u2013 a description consistent with the 13-foot gator.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe feel like\u2026 it\u2019s a good candidate for the gator in question,\u201d FWC Lt.
