A young influencer from England could be facing the death penalty in the United Arab Emirates after she was charged with the murder of her boyfriend.<\/p>\n

Brooke George, 23, reportedly met the 26-year-old British expat online, who had been living and working in Dubai.<\/p>\n

The woman, from Kent, had made one prior trip to Dubai, which she referred to as the \u201ctime of my life\u201d to friends and family.<\/p>\n

London-based advocacy group Detained In Dubai assists foreigners in legal trouble within the UAE and is calling for the woman to be released on bail and investigated fairly.<\/p>\n

The organization states that George was \u201cwrapped up in the joy of the experience\u201d and had brushed aside \u201cconcerns\u201d she felt during her first trip, which had included a \u201cbikini-clad professional photo shoot.\u201d<\/p>\n

In her second trip, the influencer allegedly stabbed the man to death.<\/p>\n

Detained in Dubai alleges she reached for a kitchen knife in self-defense during an attack at the hands of her boyfriend.<\/p>\n

\u201cA bruised and battered Brooke was arrested in the early hours of the 22nd of June 2026, and has been charged with murder despite the circumstances having not been thoroughly investigated,\u201d a statement by Detained in Dubai\u00a0reads.<\/p>\n

If found guilty of murder, the 23-year-old could be facing execution by firing squad.<\/p>\n

Detained in Dubai alleges the relationship between the pair became \u201ccontrolling and abusive\u201d prior to the attack.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrooke maintains that she acted only after being subjected to a violent assault and in genuine fear for her safety,\u201d CEO of Detained in Dubai, Radha Stirling, said.<\/p>\n

She says those closest to the woman became \u201cincreasingly concerned that she may have been lured to Dubai under false pretences for the purpose of exploitation.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir concerns were fueled by his unexplained change in behavior, the one-way ticket, the bikini-clad professional photo shoot arranged during her first visit, the alleged withholding of her passport, Brooke telling friends that \u2018things weren\u2019t right\u2019, and her growing fear that she needed to escape. Brooke reported seeing disturbing videos on his computer and being assaulted by him before the fatal incident,\u201d Stirling claimed.<\/p>\n

The Brit is being detained at Bur Dubai Police Station, a location that has gained a worldwide reputation.<\/p>\n

The police station made headlines in 2011 after the death of Lee Bradley Brown, a British tourist who died in custody.<\/p>\n

Detained in Dubai claims that George \u201chas been forced to strip naked in front of male officers, without any female officers present\u201d in an ordeal she\u2019s labeled \u201cdeeply humiliating and distressing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her \u201cdeeply concerned\u201d mother, Thereza George, claimed her daughter was \u201cutterly terrified\u201d and \u201cdesperately trying to get home and away from whatever had happened to her.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe day before the incident, she did not seem like herself. She was quieter and not her usual happy, cheerful self, but she did not tell me why,\u201d the mother said in a Detained in Dubai statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat evening they went to a bar in Dubai. When I spoke to Brooke right after the incident, she was absolutely terrified. I have never seen my daughter so frightened in my life. She was crying uncontrollably. I could see that one of her eyes was badly swollen and was beginning to close.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s understood that UK authorities are working with UAE authorities and providing support to her family.<\/p>\n

George has 100,000 followers on TikTok and another 10,000 on Instagram, sharing lifestyle-related content.<\/p>\n

Earlier in June, the influencer posted several snaps from Dubai to Instagram, with the caption, \u201cGod has a plan. Trust it, Live it, Enjoy it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Commenters on her social media posts appear to be unforgiving of the circumstances surrounding her.<\/p>\n

One online user wrote, \u201cHow\u2019s the holiday, babes?\u201d<\/p>\n

Others online are calling for more compassion.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe her and only her,\u201d one person wrote.<\/p>\n

Another added, \u201cSurely this isn\u2019t real \u2013 death by firing squad? I\u2019ve never heard of this?\u201d<\/p>\n
