Two sisters and a pal hacked a 32-year-old mom of five was stabbed to death in broad daylight, according to cops in Texas. <\/p>\n

The arrests of Kitty Mia Diaz, 21; Amaya Cookie Diaz, 19; and Kyandra Renee Faz, 21, were announced by the Del Rio Police Department in a\u00a0social media post\u00a0Friday.<\/p>\n

The victim, mother-of-five Caroline \u201cCaro\u201d\u00a0Pe\u00f1a, was stabbed multiple times in broad daylight and arrived at Val Verde Regional Medical Center just after 2 p.m. local time on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Due to the severity of her injuries, she was subsequently taken to a medical facility in San Antonio for emergency surgery, but died. <\/p>\n

Cops were called to the medical center and tracked down the location of the savage attack to an address in Del Rio, a small city of some 35,000 on the Mexican border.<\/p>\n

No motive has yet been given by the police, and Pe\u00f1a\u2019s heartbroken and furious family is demanding answers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis wasn\u2019t something that happened in a back alley. This happened at the corner near Sonic on one of our busiest roads in broad daylight,\u201d\u00a0Zelina Ochoa, Pe\u00f1a\u2019s childhood friend,\u00a0told KENS 5.<\/p>\n

Ochoa said the pair met when they were both teen mothers attending the Cradles in the Classroom program for young parents.<\/p>\n

Pe\u00f1a\u00a0would watch her son while she caught up on schoolwork, and later gave Ochoa baby clothes, a television, a VHS player and videotapes for her first apartment, she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you needed something and she had it, even if it was her last, she\u2019d give it to you,\u201d Ochoa said.<\/p>\n

Another close friend, Christina Salinas, said the pair had hung out the night before the murder, cooking with\u00a0Pe\u00f1a\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n

The next day, Salinas said she missed a call from Pena at 1:35 p.m., just minutes before the deadly confrontation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like if I would have answered that call, honestly I would have been there with her. It wouldn\u2019t have gotten like that,\u201d Salinas said.<\/p>\n

Salinas later recognized a picture on a community page of a woman in a bloody shirt as her best friend.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer hair was in the same bun. When I saw that, that\u2019s all I needed to see was the back of her shirt. I knew it was her right off the bat,\u201d Salinas said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat girl, she was a fighter. She was still standing her ground,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Salinas said she rushed to the hospital when she learned what had happened, and said goodbye to\u00a0 Pe\u00f1a, who was still talking, kissing her before she was flown to San Antonio.<\/p>\n

Kitty Diaz and Cookie Diaz, who are sisters, were arrested at around 4 p.m. Thursday without incident, while Faz was detained a short time later and taken with the other two suspects to the Del Rio Police Department for booking and processing, according to police.<\/p>\n

Pe\u00f1a\u00a0was pronounced dead at around 9 p.m. Thursday, and the three suspects were charged with her murder and transported to a correctional facility, where they remained pending magistration as of Friday.<\/p>\n
