Channing Tatum is taking on a whole new role for the World Cup in honor of his new doppelganger.<\/p>

While not a paid gig, the \u201cMagic Mike\u201d actor embraced his similar looks to Norway\u2019s Erling Haaland and could be found in a sea of fans on Friday at Gillette Stadium for the group stage match against France, all dressed as the long-haired striker, wearing a jersey with the Scandinavian country\u2019s flag and a blond wig.<\/p>\n

Haaland, one of the top players in the Premier League for Manchester City, is one of the biggest figures in the World Cup.<\/p>\n

The creative minds behind Nike\u2019s \u201cRip the Script\u201d ad ahead of the World Cup saw the resemblance between the actor and soccer star first. They had Tatum, 46, dress up as Haaland, 25, to help advertise the soccer spectacle and the faces to know in the sport.<\/p>\n

Haaland was flattered by Tatum\u2019s transformation.<\/p>\n

He called Tatum a \u201chandsome man\u201d in a behind-the-scenes video posted on his Instagram in early June when the actor first debuted his look for the Nike campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not complaining,\u201d the 25-year-old added. \u201cThis is incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ever since, Tatum hasn\u2019t backed off the bit. <\/p>\n

On Friday, he could be spotted taking selfies with his other Haaland lookalikes\u00a0in the fan section and joined them in their chants for their team.<\/p>

He even signed autographs for fans.<\/p>\n
