The city is trashing the Knicks litterbug.<\/p>\n

The Sanitation Department is raffling off five Knicks-themed trash cans to celebrate the team\u2019s NBA Finals win \u2014 and they\u2019ve taken a not-so-subtle dig at the notorious JP Morgan executive who went viral for stealing one off the parade route.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo Need to Knick a Bin,\u201d the department said in an ad for the contest. \u201cThe DSNY is giving away 5 Commemorative Knicks-Themed Litter Baskets.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unlike the \u201cincredibly stupid\u201d fan, the five lucky winners won\u2019t need to grab the full-sized blue-and-orange baskets off the street, dump litter across the sidewalk and lug it home on the subway.<\/p>\n

\u201cFouling up our sidewalks and stealing public property should always be out of bounds in New York City,\u201d said DSNY Commissioner Gregory Anderson. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no need to lift bins off the street. DSNY is thrilled to turn over five brand-new litter baskets to lucky Knicks fans, the same heavy baskets we use on the streets. Continue celebrating our championship team by\u00a0going online today to enter\u00a0\u2013 and leave the basket-tipping to New York\u2019s Strongest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Only five of the baskets will be given away as part of the contest, and the winners will be chosen at random.<\/p>\n

The 30-pound and 28-inch tall bins are the same dimensions as those that line Big Apple streets \u2014 but are brand new. <\/p>\n

The winners must be New Yorkers, 18 and older and be able to pick it up from the department\u2019s lower Manhattan office, DSNY said.<\/p>\n

Applications must be submitted before 5 p.m. on July 3 at on.nyc.gov\/basketgiveaway.<\/p>\n

Winners will be selected later in the summer.<\/p>\n

Losers can buy their own, smaller Knicks-themed bins from Only NY for $168.<\/p>\n

The contest is the second time DSNY has ribbed the boneheaded Knicks fan who went\u00a0viral for stealing a team-themed\u00a0city trash can has returned the stolen goods \u2014 and was slapped with $175 in fines for the dirty deed.<\/p>\n

The department shared a picture of the basket at its Financial District office after it was finally returned last week.<\/p>\n

\u201cHome sweet home,\u201d the sanitation department said on X. \u201cWelcome back! We missed you!\u201d<\/p>\n

The orange and blue receptacle was pilfered after an \u201cincredibly stupid\u201d fan \u2014\u00a0identified by sources as recently axed JPMorgan Chase exec Angie Baez\u00a0\u2014 dumped the trash onto Broadway and walked off with the city-owned receptacle, department officials told The Post.<\/p>\n
