{"id":2918,"date":"2026-06-25T10:40:29","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T10:40:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=2918"},"modified":"2026-06-25T10:40:29","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T10:40:29","slug":"team-trump-is-exposing-billions-in-fraud-even-as-democrats-keep-actively-encouraging-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=2918","title":{"rendered":"Team Trump is exposing billions in fraud &#8212; even as Democrats keep actively encouraging it"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Team Trump\u2019s fraud crackdown is turning up <em>billions <\/em>in stolen taxpayer money, even as Democrats do their best to ignore, deny and even enable it.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=2916\">All we need to know about America was spelled out in the Revolutionary War<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche\u2019s announcement Tuesday of a massive takedown \u2014 455 perps collared across nearly every US state and territory \u2014 roped in a whopping <em>$6.5 billion<\/em> in scams.<\/p>\n<p>The operation marked \u201cthe greatest combined federal and state effort combating health-care fraud in history,\u201d Blanche noted.<\/p>\n<p>Individual brazen crooks in these jaw-dropping cases siphoned <em>millions<\/em> meant for people truly in need, and spent it on luxury items for themselves: an $865,000 Bulgari necklace, a $594,000 Ferrari and \u2014 get this \u2014 a $4.6 million Philippines beach resort.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t just taxpayers who got hurt:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A student actually <em>died<\/em> during basketball practice after a doctor involved in an $89 million fraud scheme OK\u2019d the kid\u2019s cardiac test based on just a cursory look, even though it contained \u201cunconfirmed interpretations noting potential cardiovascular abnormalities,\u201d the Department of Justice charged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A nurse practitioner fraudulently billed Medicare for medical services, including the application of \u201cunnecessary and expensive wound allografts\u201d never applied or dangerously applied to infected sites, per DOJ.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One case alone involved a stunning <em>$3.76 billion<\/em> in bogus charges: Ibrahim Hilmi of Miami allegedly billed for medical equipment and wound dressings that he never provided.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, the government paid only $5.7 million of that amount. But within weeks, that cash allegedly got transferred to Hong Kong and Indonesia as Hilmi fled the country.<\/p>\n<p>In another huge case, the feds charged Marizel Yukee of Las Vegas with illegally billing $906 million in claims, netting a cool $297 million (more than <em>a quarter-billion!<\/em>) and using the funds to buy real estate, including that Philippines beach resort .<\/p>\n<p>Americans, whatever their political party, should be livid at such blatant thievery.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=2914\">Democratic socialists say they\u2019ll save the workers \u2014 but their \u2018rescues\u2019 ALWAYS fail<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Instead, Democrats <em>oppose<\/em> anti-fraud rules, such as those in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, claiming they cost folks their health care \u2014 as if it\u2019s wrong to do <em>any <\/em>checks about whether a transaction is a scam if it means one patient who could legally qualify has to wait to finish the paperwork.<\/p>\n<p>Dems also slam the Trump fraud crackdown as a political hit job targeting primarily blue states and cities.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, those places are the ones that provide most government-subsidized health care and other social services, so most fraud will happen there \u2014 especially since Dems are <em>against <\/em>policing social-service programs. (Plus, this operation exposed \u201ctargets\u201d spanning the entire country.)<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Worst of all, some Democrats appear to be <em>abetting<\/em> fraud outright: Vice President JD Vance, for example, wants DOJ to probe, and possibly prosecute, Gov. Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison and others based on evidence Minnesota\u2019s top state officials ordered local authorities to \u201cstop looking into\u201d fraud for fear of being labeled \u201cracist or Islamophobic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Worse, that state\u2019s Department of Human Services actually probed the very people<em> warning <\/em>about the abuses.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats never stop pushing to spend more on aid for the needy, particularly when it comes to health care.<\/p>\n<p>Yet fraud leaves less cash available for the folks they claim to champion;
