But I didn\u2019t get along well with John,\u201d she said of the director, who died in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Sara, 59, described Hughes as a \u201cstrange guy,\u201d telling the outlet, \u201cHe wanted us all to hang out together and to introduce us to the French New Wave films.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the others were seasoned actors and I was a snotty New York kid and had seen all those movies, so he was frustrated in that desire,\u201d she explained. \u201cI didn\u2019t have the emotional maturity to deal with other people\u2019s egos, or my own.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite not having the best memories on set, the \u201cTimecop\u201d star recalled having a \u201cmassive crush\u201d on her on-screen boyfriend, Ferris Bueller, portrayed by Matthew Broderick.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was very much unrequited,\u201d she said, referring to how Broderick was secretly dating his onscreen sister, Jeanie Bueller, who was played by actress Jennifer Grey.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Sara shared that she was not \u201chappy\u201d in her acting career and eventually transitioned to writing poetry.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=2708\">US waives Iran oil sanctions for two months in $10 billion payday<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI never really had the resilience to deal with the audition process,\u201d Sara admitted. \u201cThere are some things in my career that I\u2019m really proud of, but overall it was not a happy career for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A few of Sara\u2019s other acting credits include the 1988 film \u201cApprentice to Murder,\u201d the 1990 movie \u201cDaughter of Darkness\u201d and the 2002 film \u201cLost in OZ.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One of her last acting credits was the 2013 movie \u201cPretty Pretty,\u201d before she took a more than 10-year hiatus from the big screen, leading up to her latest 2025 flick \u201cThe Life of Chuck.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>She starred as Sarah Krantz in the Mike Flanagan-directed film starring Marvel star Tom Hiddleston.<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Sara made her first red carpet appearance in over 10 years at the movie\u2019s premiere in June 2025.<\/p>\n<p>She was all smiles for the star-studded event at the Hollywood Legion Theater in California.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, the actress told People that she re-entered the spotlight to work with Flanagan after becoming obsessed with his 2021 horror series \u201cMidnight Mass.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=2706\">Shooting at Montreal grocery store leaves 1 cop dead, 1 wounded<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Ferris Bueller&#8217;s Day Off&#8221;
