Police were called to Geno Smith\u2019s Florida home on Sunday over an alleged battery, local authorities told The California Post on Monday.<\/p>\n

Cops showed up to the Jets quarterback\u2019s Davie residence at around 4:40 p.m., according to a spokesperson for the Davie Police Department.<\/p>\n

Further information regarding the incident was not made immediately available, though the rep did say \u201cno one was taken into custody on scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

The presence of law enforcement came right around the time a woman named Kristen alleged in a video on her @everythingkrisxo Instagram page that Smith had put his hands on her.<\/p>\n

In the footage, the woman could be seen filming Smith outside of his Davie home while screaming, \u201cGeno just beat my ass!\u201d<\/p>\n

She also alleged that he \u201cran outside and attacked me,\u201d and in another part of the video, she claimed he \u201cbroke my f\u2014king computer\u201d as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday is the DAY!\u201d Kristen wrote in a caption on the video. \u201cGENO SMITH beat my ass cause he HATES taking care of his special needs kid and can\u2019t be left alone with him because he\u2019d rather watch s*x online and play Call of Duty.\u201d<\/p>\n

In an additional caption, she added that Smith was \u201cthrowing my purses out and stealing my money out my car with his high deranged a.\u201d<\/p>\n

The woman\u2019s video also included a shot of Smith appearing to talk with three police officers outside of his home. She captioned that clip with the words, \u201cCharges. PRESSED!\u201d<\/p>\n

Smith has not responded to the allegations. When reached, the Jets did not have a comment.<\/p>\n

However, the mother of Smith\u2019s son, Seven, defended the two-time Pro Bowler in an Instagram Stories post on Sunday afternoon as Kristen\u2019s video began going viral.<\/p>\n

\u201cGeno is and always has been more than capable of taking care of his son,\u201d the woman wrote in a caption on a photo that showed Smith with the child.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s kill that narrative. Don\u2019t get on the internet bringing my son into your web of dysfunction.\u201d<\/p>\n

Smith was traded to the Jets by the Raiders in March. It\u2019s now his second go-around with the team \u2014 he previously played for New York form 2013-16.<\/p>\n
