{"id":2668,"date":"2026-06-22T08:38:57","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T08:38:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=2668"},"modified":"2026-06-22T08:38:57","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T08:38:57","slug":"goose-reeling-after-dad-paul-kueker-fell-to-his-death-at-madison-square-garden-concert-learned-tragedy-while-getting-off-stage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=2668","title":{"rendered":"Goose \u2018reeling\u2019 after dad Paul Kueker fell to his death at Madison Square Garden concert, learned tragedy while \u2018getting off stage\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Connecticut jam band Goose learned that a married dad of two had fallen to his death at their Madison Square Garden concert moments after the group was \u201cgetting off stage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=2666\">LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho resigns four months after FBI raid<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Paul Kueker, 51, fatally plunged 150 feet from the Chase Bridge shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday as Goose performed the second of their two-night stint in the World\u2019s Most Famous Arena.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are all reeling following the events that occurred at last night\u2019s show,\u201d the band said on Instagram on Sunday evening \u2014 just before they played their sold-out gig in Central Park\u2019s SummerStage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGetting off stage to learn that news was devastating for us and our crew, and we cannot imagine how some of you left the show feeling last night.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kueker, director of operations at energy management company Smartcon Solutions, was attending the show with his wife, Kristen, to celebrate their upcoming 25th anniversary, according to the New York Daily News.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Police found Kueker \u201cunconscious and unresponsive\u201d after he fell from an \u201celevated position\u201d inside Madison Square Garden, NYPD told The Post. He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kueker, of Niantic, Conn., fell from the third level inside Madison Square Garden when he went to use the restroom, his mother Patricia Finelli told the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>Finelli remembered her son as the \u201cgreatest kid in the whole wide world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019d give you the shirt off his back,\u201d she told The Post. \u201cHe has two children, a beautiful wife, and he took care of me like I was a piece of gold.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=2664\">Exclusive | Los Angeles\u2019 Sunset Strip is now on struggle street. The Post walked it for a week \u2014 here\u2019s what we found<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Venue staff taped off and cleared at least seven rows in the area\u2019s lower bowl where the fatal fall happened, according to fan photos shared on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Goose \u2014 which consists of Rick Mitarotonda, Trevor Weeks, Peter Anspach, and Cotter Ellis \u2014 kicked off their show in Central Park with a 15-second moment of silence for Kueker.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust want to take a moment to address some of the tragic events that happened at last night\u2019s show and extend our deepest condolences to Paul, his family, his friends and everyone who was affected by what happened,\u201d Anspach said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cIn moments like this, you realize life is so fragile and we\u2019re so lucky to have an incredible community here around us. Everybody, if you\u2019re struggling with something, please don\u2019t be afraid to reach out to somebody in your life or send us a message. Please. We got to help each other out. That\u2019s why we\u2019re here.
