A 51-year-old concertgoer fell to his death during rock band Goose\u2019s concert inside Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, police said. <\/p>\n

\u201cAt approximately 9:51 p.m. inside Madison Square Garden, officers observed a 51-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive,\u201d the NYPD told The Post in a statement.<\/p>\n

The fan plunged from an \u201celevated position\u201d and was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

Officials did not disclose the distance of the fall. <\/p>\n

Goose \u2014 which consists of Rick Mitarotonda, Trevor Weeks, Peter Anspach, and Cotter Ellis \u2014 said it was \u201cheartbroken\u201d after learning of the tragedy during their gig, the second of the band\u2019s two-night run at the iconic New York City venue.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the tragic event that occurred at tonight\u2019s show,\u201d the band wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe extend our deepest sympathy to everyone affected. Thank you to the emergency personnel and venue staff who stepped in with care and support.\u201d<\/p>\n

Venue staff cleared at least seven rows in the area where the incident took place, according to fan photos shared on social media.<\/p>\n

The Connecticut-based jam band performed its full 16-song setlist and ended the concert shortly before midnight, according to music database Setlist.fm.<\/p>\n

The band hit Madison Square Garden for two nights as part of their Summer 2026 tour, spanning across 27 concerts in 19 cities in the US and Canada. Their show was also being livestreamed on Amazon Music.<\/p>\n
