Knicks fever has fans painting the city orange and blue.<\/p>\n

Large murals, splashy window art and bold paintings have been popping up across the city as the squad makes its run for its first NBA title in 53 years.<\/p>\n

Scott Zimmerman took over part of the first floor of a building on the corner of East Houston and Eldridge Street to celebrate the Big Apple\u2019s dream team.<\/p>\n

The art features a massive, 20-foot-tall portrait of star point guard Jalen Brunson holding a basketball against a deep blue backdrop, with \u201cLet\u2019s Go Knicks\u201d written in the corner.<\/p>\n

It took Zimmerman, who has been painting murals on this wall for eight years, four days to complete. <\/p>\n

The native New Yorker said he tapped into memories of Knicks posters from his childhood as he painted.<\/p>\n

Fans are loving it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has a response I could not have predicted,\u201d the artist said. \u201cIt\u2019s having an exceptional response and all universally positive.\u201d<\/p>\n

When the Knicks win it all, Zimmerman already knows what he\u2019s going to do: replace the basketball in Brunson\u2019s hand with an image of the Larry O\u2019Brien Championship Trophy.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now it\u2019s spreading a lot of positivity and I need it to keep doing that,\u201d Zimmerman said. \u201cI\u2019m hoping that they win and I can finalize it with a trophy in the hand.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another mural on Troutman Street and St. Nicholas Avenue in Brooklyn included portraits of multiple Knicks stars like Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby, with \u201cKnicks\u201d spelt out in vibrant graffiti lettering.<\/p>\n

In Bushwick, an artist who gave his name only as Jason D. said he used a section of the exterior of L Train Vintage Brooklyn to showcase his Knicks love.<\/p>\n

It took Jason a day and a half to paint his cartoony tribute to the team, which features Brunson with his trademark three fingers held up and the iconic Knicks crest.<\/p>\n

Knicks fans couldn\u2019t contain their excitement as they passed by the work-in-progress, which was created in partnership with the Bushwick Collective.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s go Knicks!\u201d one jazzed up fan shouted, while another told him, \u201cIt\u2019s our year!\u201d<\/p>\n

The joy was contagious, Jason said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the Knicks being in the finals, that definitely helps bring the city together,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
