The sheriff\u2019s department investigating the suspected abduction of Nancy Guthrie has issued an alert for another kidnapping suspect wanted just a few miles away from the 84-year-old\u2019s Arizona home.<\/p>\n

The Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department put out a notice against Coral Michelle Smith, a 40-year-old career criminal wanted in a separate kidnapping case about seven miles from Guthrie\u2019s home in the Catalina Foothills.<\/p>\n

Smith, who has an extensive criminal history, was allegedly involved in a kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon case that occurred on May 29 at the intersection of River Road and La Cholla Boulevard, in Tucson.<\/p>\n

Pima County officials called on the community to \u201cbe on the lookout\u201d for the woman, but declined to release additional details about the incident. <\/p>\n

Authorities did not indicate any connections between Smith and \u201cToday\u201d show host Savannah Guthrie\u2019s mom, who vanished from her home in the early hours of Feb. 1.<\/p>\n

Smith has been previously accused of kidnapping, assault, robbery and disorderly conduct throughout the years in Pima County, and served four different stints in prison, according to court records.<\/p>\n

She was found guilty of robbery in 2011, guilty of disorderly conduct and attempted vehicle theft in 2014, guilty of robbery in 2019 and guilty of criminal trespass in 2021. <\/p>\n

She was also found guilty of attempted vehicle theft in 2022 and guilty of aggravated assault with physical injury in 2023. <\/p>\n

The 2019 case involved kidnapping and drug charges, where the victim was listed as under 15 years old, according to court records. Those charges were eventually dismissed.<\/p>\n

Smith has used several aliases, including Corral Albright, Coral Albright-Smith, and Under The Sea Smith, local 13 News reported.<\/p>\n

Police described her as being 5-foot-6, 136 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.<\/p>\n

Smith also has a number of tattoos on her, including a smiley face and heart on her right ankle, a rose with flames on her right foot, and the words \u201clove, life, family\u201d on her left leg.<\/p>\n
