Former Rangers star Sean Avery is embroiled in another scuffle with a \u201ccrazy neighbor\u201d who allegedly fired shots outside his Los Angeles home \u2014 before trying to \u201cframe\u201d the ex-NHLer with \u201ctwo hookers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Avery, 46, claimed that his neighbor opened fire at the vehicle tires of his contractor, who was working on a new deck for the hockey player-turned-actor in Hollywood Hills on Tuesday. <\/p>\n

\u201cMy crazy neighbor shot out the tires of the contractor building a new deck at the house. As this is going on, there\u2019s a standoff at the house. He\u2019s inside. He\u2019s got guns,\u201d <\/span>Avery said on Instagram. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe calls two hookers and tries to frame me. He sends two hookers up to the house for me \u2014 I\u2019m not even there \u2014 as a smokescreen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe hookers\u2026 I don\u2019t even know what\u2019s going on with the election. F\u2014ing Spencer Pratt, the hockey game, the hookers \u2026 wow!\u201d he added, referencing the LA mayoral race and the Stanley Cup Final. <\/p>\n

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a 911 call at Avery\u2019s home in Hollywood Hills about criminal threats being made at around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, TMZ reported.<\/p>\n

The caller claimed that Avery\u2019s neighbor had been harassing and threatening his contractors during the home renovation project.<\/p>\n

However, police found no indication of threats and no report was taken, according to TMZ. Officers were called back to the home at around 5 p.m. after receiving a call about shots being fired.<\/p>\n

Avery and his wife, model Hilary Rhoda, were not home during the incident, according to the outlet. Avery noted that he was away \u201con set\u201d filming an upcoming project when the shooting happened. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear if the couple\u2019s 5-year-old son, Nash, was home.<\/p>\n

Avery\u2019s neighbor was arrested at around 6:15 p.m., TMZ reported, citing the LAPD. <\/p>\n

The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n

The Post has reached out to the LAPD for comment.<\/p>\n

While it remains to be seen what led up to the shooting, this is not the first time Avery has had a dramatic incident involving one of his neighbors. <\/p>\n

In 2022, a video obtained by TMZ showed Avery in a clash with a group of people, including some teenagers \u2014 over how they parked on the street, outside a home where he said he was house-sitting in the Hollywood Hills.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Avery, who\u00a0said he lived two streets down from where the incident took place, accused the teens of blocking the driveway and threatened to snap \u201cwindshield wipers off\u201d their car if they parked there again. <\/p>\n

When the man recording the video told him not to \u201ctalk to little kids like that,\u201d the former NHL agitator invited him to fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can kick or punch me \u2026 You\u2019re too f\u2013king short to actually challenge anyone,\u201d Avery shot back.<\/p>\n

The man then questioned why Avery was yelling at children who were not his own.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf this was my kid, I\u2019d pull his f\u2013king hair into the house and I\u2019d tell his dumb f\u2013king friends to go home,\u201d Avery said.<\/p>\n

Despite the heated confrontation, no police report was filed regarding the incident, TMZ reported.<\/p>\n

Avery spent 12 seasons playing pro hockey, suiting up for the Red Wings, Kings, Stars, and Rangers and posting 90 goals and 157 assists in 580 games.<\/p>\n
