Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson was booed after mocking fans for a \u201cUSA\u201d chant at a Florida show \u2014 then doubled down, asking what they had to be \u201cso proud of\u201d in America before the crowd turned on him.<\/p>\n

The trouble began during the band\u2019s Sunday night show in Tampa, on their \u201cSouthern Hospitality Tour,\u201d when an image of the group\u2019s black crow mascot dressed as Uncle Sam appeared on a screen behind the stage, prompting audience members to start the pro-America chant, TMZ reported.<\/p>\n

A source told the outlet that the band was moments away from playing their hit song \u201cShe Talks to Angels\u201d when Robinson, 59, pushed back at the crowd.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks for the geography lesson,\u201d the singer reportedly said, becoming more annoyed as the \u201cUSA\u201d cheers continued. <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what you have to be so proud of right now,\u201d he snapped, according to the outlet. <\/p>\n

The comment was enough to set off a round of boos from the crowd \u2014 with some so upset they started leaving the venue. <\/p>\n

In a clip obtained by TMZ, Robinson is heard clapping back at those booing him.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome of us have real faith,\u201d the 59-year-old singer is heard saying to a noticeably dwindling crowd.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor those of you f\u2013king booing us, some of us are not afraid. And we most assuredly are not f\u2013king ignorant.\u201d<\/p>\n

The online backlash to the rocker\u2019s remarks was swift.<\/p>\n

\u201cUS Veteran here. Bought tickets for my wife\u2019s birthday in Tampa. Chris Robinson mocked the USA chanters\u2026 We walked out disappointed. Hoping for a partial refund,\u201d one fan shared on X. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo I\u2019m at the black crowes concert in Tampa tonight\u2026 Chris Robinson basically just told Patriots to kiss his ass! Not kidding. This was my 12th Crowes concert since 87, I just dropped them like a hot iron. F\u2013k you Chris!\u201d another fan seethed.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever had any issue with the Black Crowes, but good lord, Chris Robinson handled this in the worst way possible. It\u2019s one thing if the fans are combative or disrupting your set, it\u2019s another when fans are innocuously chanting USA,\u201d wrote another. <\/p>\n

The Atlanta-born singer, who started the band with his brother, guitarist Rich Robinson, in 1984, found major success in the early 1990s, especially with their first two albums: \u201cShake Your Money Maker\u201d (1990) and \u201cThe Southern Harmony and Musical Companion\u201d (1992).<\/p>\n

The band split in 2015, reunited in 2019, and are currently on tour in support of their 10th studio album, \u201cA Pound of Feathers.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a March interview with Mojo to promote the album, Robinson described himself as \u201cnot interested in politics.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not interested in politics. I\u2019m more interested in poetry and art and people and experience,\u201d the lead singer told the outlet.<\/p>\n
