Harvey Weinstein to finally learn his fate for NYC sex attack on ex-‘Project Runway’ staffer

Decrepit Harvey Weinstein will finally learn his fate in a Manhattan courtroom Wednesday — as the disgraced Hollywood mogul faces up to 25 years in prison for sexually assaulting a former TV production worker.

Weinstein, 74, was convicted in June 2025 of first-degree criminal sex act for attacking former “Project Runway” production assistant Miriam “Mimi” Haley inside his SoHo apartment in 2006.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office is arguing that Weinstein should be locked up for 20 years on the conviction, citing the “significant harms” the ex-Miramax boss caused to Haley.

The once powerful producer’s long-delayed sentencing comes nearly a decade after an avalanche of sexual misconduct allegations ended his career and kick-started the #MeToo movement.

He was first found guilty of sexually assaulting Haley and raping actress Jessica Mann following a trial in Manhattan Supreme Court in 2020.

But Weinstein’s conviction was overturned by New York’s highest court, and a new trial was ordered.

The Tinseltown tycoon went on trial again in 2025 with a new accuser, Kaja Sokola, alleging that she had been sexually assaulted by Weinstein when she was a teen.

Jurors in that trial convicted Weinstein of raping Haley but found him not guilty on the Sokola rap.

The panelists were not able to reach a verdict pertaining to Mann’s allegations, which forced Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Curtis Farber to declare a mistrial — leading prosecutors to try the case for a third time earlier this year.

In that trial, jurors again could not reach a unanimous decision on Mann’s allegation, leading Farber to again declare a mistrial.

But the DA’s Office said it would not try the case for a fourth time after the alleged victim said she couldn’t endure it again.

Haley testified in two of Weinstein’s trials where she emotionally detailed how she was brutally raped by him inside his apartment.

“I was trying to get him off of me. I was trying to push him away from me. I was trying to get him to stop kissing me and grabbing me,” Haley told jurors at Weinstein’s retrial in 2025. “The unthinkable was happening … I didn’t know when it was ending.”

Weinstein has been rotting away at Rikers Island as he continues to battle health concerns while serving a 23-year sentence on a separate California sexual assault conviction.
