Giants appear to avoid the worst with Jaxson Dart injury: ‘Going to be OK’
It’s all going to be OK.
That was the message Giants GM Joe Schoen gave ESPN after quarterback Jaxson Dart was ruled out of Monday’s game against the Rams, following a knee injury on the opening drive at SoFi Stadium.
“‘He’s going to be OK’,” Schoen told sideline reporter Laura Rutledge.
It’s a calming message after the QB limped off the field in the first quarter following a hit from both ends by Rams defenders Byron Young and Josiah Stewart.
Rutledge also reported that training staff had to take Dart’s jersey away from him — implying the QB wanted to come back into the game.
Dart emerged on the sideline in team-issued warmups, wearing an earpiece while watching the action.

Jameis Winston took over for Dart under center as the Giants work without a backup plan, with third-stringer Jake Haener on the practice squad.
The Giants trailed 21-3 in the third quarter, with Winston struggling to get anything going with the offense.
