NYPD shoots knife-wielding woman accused of stabbing two people in Times Square
A knife-wielding woman was shot and wounded by police in the heart of Times Square after she stabbed two people Monday, sources said.

The suspect knifed a man and a woman at West 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue in the Crossroads of the World just before 4:30 p.m., according to law enforcement sources.
Officers found her behind the NYPD substation, pointing a knife at them, the sources said.
Police opened fire, striking the armed woman, the sources said.
Photos captured a police officer holding a large knife in front of a souvenir shop near the stabbing scene.
Both the woman and her two victims were hospitalized in critical condition, according to the sources.
