A heartwarming scene unfolded on top of the White House on Tuesday.
While the White House’s flags were being lowered to half-staff in honor of Dolly Parton — who died at 80 years old on Tuesday — a hawk flew on top and sat on the flag pole.
Upon the news of Parton’s death, President Trump ordered that all flags be lowered for the following week for her honor.
“This is a true loss for millions of people,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “There has never been anyone like her, and never will.”
“Rest in Peace, Dolly! The World loves you.”

Country music star Tim McGraw shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook to fellow country music icon Dolly Parton following announcement of her death at age 80 Tuesday.
McGraw referred to Parton as the “blueprint, head and shoulders above anyone that came before her.”
“Everything she did, she did it with kindness, grace and that famous wit and smile,” the Grammy winning musician shared.
“There will never be another Dolly Parton.”

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are mourning the loss of their beloved “9 to 5” co-star, Dolly Parton, who died Tuesday at the age of 80.
“No words,” Tomlin succinctly wrote on Instagram alongside a joyous photo of the two of them from the premiere of the Colin Higgins-directed film at New York City’s Sutton Theater in 1980.
Fonda, on the other hand, penned a lengthy homage on social media.
“I am devastated. I just learned that Dolly has moved on,” she wrote alongside a photo of them cracking up on the iconic film’s set.
