49ers decline to address embarrassing arrest of owner Jed York

The San Francisco 49ers don’t plan to address the arrest of their owner Jed York on prostitution charges.

“As this is a legal matter, which has been resolved, we will not be providing any further comment at this time,” the organization said in one-line a statement late Monday morning.

York pleaded no contest to two lesser misdemeanors after he was arrested Sunday morning inside a northeast Ohio trailer park near his hometown.

He allegedly responded to an online advertisement on a known prostitution website and arranged to pay $140 for sex, according to court documents obtained by the California Post.

The NFL said in a statement before the Niners that it was “aware of the matter” and that it would be “reviewed under the personal conduct policy.”
