Biles, who wrote that she values privacy and typically wouldn’t share an update like this, shared a series of pictures on her stories that included hospital bracelets, flowers and a bed in which the gymnast had been resting.
The 29-year-old and 11-time Olympic medalist also revealed that the medical emergency happened while her husband — Colts safety Jonathan Owens — was at practice in Indianapolis.
In one image, Biles shared a picture of her arm, which appeared to include three hospital bracelets, and in another, she shared an image of her bed and added a screengrab with a heart rate measurement that said 126 beats per minute.

It’s unclear if her health scare is related to her heart.
“I’ve been in bed resting this week,” Biles wrote, “I’ll explain sooner or later but s/o to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited & or sent flowers.”
Biles won four medals — including three gold — during her most recent Olympics appearance in 2024 in Paris. She and Owens were married in 2023.
