Six Flags parkgoer killed after falling off Goliath roller coaster in Georgia: report
A Six Flags parkgoer died after plunging from Georgia’s tallest rollercoaster he was riding with his son– and horrified witnesses recalled he levitated “in the air sideways” before smashing into the coaster cars three times and landing on the roof of a haunted house.

The rider, who has not been publicly named, was killed after falling off the Goliath rollercoaster — a 200-foot-tall ride — at the Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park on Monday.
The man was on the 3.5 minute ride with his son on Columbus Day — a federal holiday — while his wife and daughter watched on from the ground, WXIA reported, citing an eyewitness
But the dad somehow struck a roller coaster car three different times during the fall — and a witness’s souvenir picture even caught him plummeting to his death.
“He was in our pictures,” a witness told WXIA. “He fell and hit the car three different times.”
The man landed on the roof of a haunted house attraction, the witness added.
Parkgoer Logan Conner, who was riding Goliath with his fiancé, said the man “started levitating in the air sideways.”
“We made direct eye contact with him,” he said.
Brittany Landry, who was waiting to ride the Georgia Scorcher, said she saw “somebody fly out and just fly into the woods” from about 150 feet away, Fox5 reported.
“I broke down,” she said after learning about the fall. “I just broke down.”
“I broke because we were just on there [Goliath]. We were just, we were on there.”

The man’s cause of death has not been revealed, and investigations are ongoing.
“We are deeply saddened by the guest incident at our park today. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the guest’s family, friends, and loved ones. We are also providing support to the guests and team members affected,” a Six Flags Over Georgia spokesperson told The Post.
“The park team and local authorities responded immediately, and we are cooperating fully with local authorities as they complete their investigation. Out of respect for the family’s privacy, we will not be sharing additional details at this time.”
It’s not known what caused the man to fall out of his seat.
Riders were evacuated from cars four at a time following the accident — with video surfacing online showing parkgoers being brought down from one of the ride’s inclines.
Goliath, known as a hypercoaster, opened in 2006 and reaches top speeds of 70mph during the ride, challenging “even the bravest of the brave,” Six Flags says.
The ride’s 200-foot elevation makes it Georgia’s tallest rollercoaster.
The death would be at least the seventh at the Georgia park, including one in 2006 in which a man had a likely heart attack on the Goliath coaster, according to the Doan Law Firm, which tallies amusement park accidents and represents victims.
Six Flags bosses have temporarily closed nine coasters across six of its parks following the tragedy.
