The euphoric — and even legally problematic at times — celebrations by Knicks fans from the average Joes to Hollywood A-Listers on Wednesday night and into early Thursday morning provided just a brief preview of the mayhem that may descend upon New York City should the Knicks wrap up this series.

Some extra attention has been brought to Karl-Anthony Towns’ deflection on the final play of Wednesday’s miracle Knicks win after it appears he motioned to the fans sitting courtside to crowd Spurs rookie Dylan Harper for the critical inbounds pass.

New York’s new hero, OG Anunoby, sat at his locker, alone, icing both knees, looking through his phone as if the day had just begun, as if he didn’t just create one of the most iconic moments in the history of the most iconic arena, as if he didn’t yet realize his name will be lifted to the rafters with one more win.

Spurs star Victor Wembanyama, who picked up a flagrant foul for a hard hit on Karl-Anthony Towns in Wednesday’s heartbreaking loss to the Knicks, also got up close and personal with eventual Game 4 hero OG Anunoby.
